Living in Palmetto Hall Plantation: Amenities, Real Estate and Lifestyle

Welcome to Palmetto Hall Plantation

Palmetto Hall Plantation is one of Hilton Head Island’s newer private gated communities and is a popular choice for people seeking a non-resort residential neighborhood well removed from the busy tourist trade. Its North End location just off Beach City Road places it conveniently near the shopping, dining and professional services on Main Street and other nearby commercial centers. Schools, a recreation center, medical centers, and several of the Island’s churches are also minutes away from Palmetto Hall Plantation’s main gate.

Why You Belong in Palmetto Hall Plantation

Palmetto Hall Plantation is a place where you can have your piece of the Hilton Head Island lifestyle with a comfortable buffer between you and the hustle and bustle and inconveniences found in the midst of the tourism trade. Outside the gate, you’re minutes from everything you need: schools, shopping, dining, professional and medical services, churches, the recreation center, and the bridge to the Mainland. You’re also a short drive or bicycle ride from some of the Island’s best parks and beaches preferred by locals with lower tourist density than the Island’s busier beaches.

Palmetto Hall Plantation is favored as much by families with children of all ages as it is with empty-nesters and retirees. There is no overwhelming age group or demographic profile, and its relatively small size (750 acres and fewer than 600 total homesites) engenders a close-knit neighborhood community.

The Palmetto Hall Plantation Club features two excellent golf courses, Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp, but Palmetto Hall does not define itself as a golf community. Full golf club membership is available to those who want it, but is not a requirement for property ownership.

Palmetto Hall Plantation Amenities

Clubhouse

The 14,000 square foot southern-style Palmetto Hall Plantation Clubhouse is not only a centerpiece for the golf club, but it is also a social hub for the entire community. Residents zip down tree-lined streets to the Clubhouse in golf cars to meet up with neighbors and enjoy a Jr. Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, a recreation field, a playground for the kids, an outdoor pavilion, dining, Friday night happy hour, holiday parties and other social events.

Golf

Two championship courses present two distinct golf experiences to Palmetto Hall Plantation golf lovers. The Arthur Hills Course is a more traditional design for Hilton Head Island that accentuates the beautiful natural environment. Players enjoy towering pines, moss-draped live oaks, lush fairways and water while taking on Hills’ well-protected greens. The Robert Cupp Course incorporates a more innovative computer-driven design that features more sharp angles and straight lines than most golfers are used to. It provides an interesting take on the game for players of all skill levels.

Nature Preserve

A 100-acre nature preserve gives Palmetto Hall Plantation a sense of place, allowing residents to enjoy undisturbed lagoons, wetlands, woods, and wildlife native to the South Carolina Lowcountry.
